Plain-language information about how Edelweiss handles website and lesson-inquiry information.

Information collected

When someone submits an introductory lesson inquiry, Edelweiss collects the student or participant name, email address, phone number, selected program, age group, and preferred lesson availability. A parent or guardian name, previous music experience, and additional questions may also be provided voluntarily. A Zumbini® request collects the parent or caregiver name, child’s name and age group, email address, phone number, preferred class time, session or trial interest, and any optional message.

The introductory-lesson and Zumbini inquiry forms do not ask for a full date of birth, home address, medical information, payment details, or account password.

The separate school registration form collects the student’s date of birth to calculate age, parent or guardian details for students under 18, contact and home address information, billing contact and address, program preferences and consent choices. Photo/video permission is optional and is not a condition of registration. Do not include medical details or payment card numbers.

How it is used

The studio uses inquiry information to respond, discuss suitable lesson options, and arrange next steps if the person chooses to continue. The form is an inquiry request and does not collect payment. Form submissions are not stored in Sanity CMS.

School registration requests are stored in a private Google Sheets workbook used by authorized studio staff to review requests and manage lessons and billing. Google Apps Script receives validated requests and sends the studio an email notification linking to that private workbook. The notification does not include the student’s date of birth, address or registration answers. Campaign labels, referring website and landing-page path may accompany a registration to help the studio understand how families found it. These registration details are not sent to analytics.

Website analytics

Edelweiss may use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics for site measurement. Google Analytics helps the studio understand aggregate website use, such as which pages are visited and whether an introductory lesson inquiry or Zumbini® request was completed, so the website can be improved.

Analytics tags may use cookies or similar browser storage and process technical information under Google’s terms. Edelweiss does not deliberately send names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text inquiry answers, or Turnstile tokens to Google through its website analytics events. Introductory-lesson lead measurement includes only the selected public lesson program; Zumbini® events contain only the event name and, for request buttons, a safe page location. The current setup is for website and lead measurement, not behavioural advertising or advertising personalization.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the website. A Cloudflare Pages Function processes the inquiry, Cloudflare Turnstile performs the security check, and Cloudflare infrastructure supports abuse protection. Resend processes the transactional email that delivers the inquiry to the studio. Sanity provides the content-management service used to publish website content; inquiry form submissions are not saved there. Google may provide Tag Manager and Analytics when analytics is enabled. These providers may process technical or form information as needed to provide their services and under their own privacy and security terms.

Retention

The studio should keep inquiry information only as long as reasonably needed to respond, arrange lessons, maintain necessary business records, or resolve a related question. Service providers may retain limited operational records according to their own policies. The owner should periodically remove inquiry emails that are no longer reasonably required.

Correction or deletion requests

To ask about personal information submitted through the website, or to request a correction or deletion where appropriate, contact the studio atedelweissvernon@gmail.com or613-400-3172.

Updates to this information

This page may be updated when the website’s forms, service providers, or information-handling practices change. The owner should add an approved effective date before production launch.
